pear / website

The most important aspect of the pear website is that it enforces the brand and allows consumers to subscribe and purchase pear merchandise. The main pages on the website will be: home, shop, subscribe and about. There will also be an enter page that is animated and attracts children towards the website:

Once clicked, the enter page moves upwards to reveal the homepage underneath:

Pear is on the home page giving users advice about how to navigate the site. Clicking on the arrow reveals the navigation bar:

The shop page includes all pear merchandise that people can buy. There is a simple layout that shows off all of the products equally, with bundles and more expensive packages at the bottom:

The subscribe page has information about the deals and offers when customers subscribe to the magazine. They will get 20% off the cost and will be sent a plushie every quarter of their subscription until their collection is complete.

The about section includes information about why pear was formed and the messages behind the magazine.

Once I got the basic structure of the website I felt that the theme of the website wasn't consistent with the overall brands. Once newer issues have been developed this theme will become outdated and irrelevant to the newer content.

I felt that to ensure that the website is regularly updated and fresh that new themes could be applied at the users leisure. I added a small box at the bottom of the enter and home page so that users can change the theme. This feature will be updated with the release of new magazines.

The theme for space is as follows:
