lights / name & cover

The name of the publication needs to represent the content and the focus on mood and atmosphere. Name ideas include:

Atmosphere
Lights
Glow
Neon
Ultra Violet
Infrared
Wavelengths
Photon
Radiance

The shorter words seem most effective as the letters can be arranged abstractly on the cover. Glow is the most effective name as it takes all aspects of the lights and composition of the image and conveys the mood and atmosphere of the whole publication.

Names like Neon and Infrared are too harsh and don't encapsulate the overall aesthetic of the book. Some lights aren't Neon or infrared.

Cover experiments:

The final cover is a mixture of the featured colours blending into one another. The word Glow is arranged abstractly to represent the layout of the images inside and each letter is associated with one of the colours. Acetate was considered as an extra element to the cover for the letters to sit on, but as the final colour for the type was white this would not print on the acetate and there could be problems when trying to bind the book with acetate.
