Unfortunately our design wasn't taken through to the next stage of the process. We met with the board to get feedback on the identity.
Their feedback was largely positive and they liked the name and idea behind the branding. They said the concept was very celebratory of the college and the work, and had a distinctive feel.
The reason they didn't pick our idea was the appropriateness of the visual value to the college. The aesthetic is very "cool" and "current" but can be lost to the general public, and as the End of Year Show is open to anyone it needs to appeal to a varied audience. The design wasn't inclusive of all courses and could have been brighter and more friendly.
Overall I agree with the feedback given by the board, the aesthetic of the branding could have been more inviting rather than intimidating and if we develop the project further we will keep this in mind.
